Middlesex County Criminal Record Expungement
Expungement of criminal records in Middlesex County follows N.J.S.A. 2C:52-1. You file a petition with the Superior Court in New Brunswick. The petition must be served on the Prosecutor, the arresting police department, and the State Police. The court reviews the petition and may schedule a hearing.
Eligibility rules are set by state law. Indictable offenses require a six-year wait after completing the sentence. Disorderly persons offenses require five years.
